About the Role:
A terrific opportunity is available for a committed Primary teacher to become a part of a community-focused school in Altona North, in Melbourne's Western suburbs. Join a small team, teaching Foundation in a full-time role beginning in Term 2, 2024. With around 1000 students spanning from years F-12 across three campuses, this school presents an excellent chance to contribute to a vibrant school community. resources.
Key duties:

• Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
• Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
• Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
• Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
• Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.

Skills & Experience:

• Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
• Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
• Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Demonstrate previous experience in Primary teaching- Foundation advantageous!
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
