The Opportunity
4am - 1pm - 42.5hrs per week
$31.82ph / $70.3k annual + Super & Benefits. Increases to $34.15ph/75.4k at 6 months.
This Mon-Fri role will see you coordinating the freight operations in our Yatala Warehouse. You'll provide administrative support to the Warehouse Team and wider business by responding quickly and efficiently to queries, communicating with stakeholders to resolve operational issues and liaise directly with carriers to ensure ongoing service improvements.
Utilising your strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, you will work to achieve KPIs, identify day-to-day operational issues, and provide recommendations for improvement, exercising a high degree of professionalism at all times.
In This Role, You Will
- Respond and action incoming correspondence (emails and calls) regarding freight queries
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve operational issues
- Communicate with drivers and carriers directly to resolve delivery issues\
- Liaise with carriers to ensure ongoing service improvements working towards KPIs
- Identifying day-to-day operational issues and proactively provide recommendations for improvement
- Work effectively within the Warehouse Team to achieve KPIs and ensure daily operations run smoothly
- Complete weekly reporting and audits, including outbound stock checks
- Approve freight invoicing and report discrepancies to internal departments
- Train team members on loading and confirming truck loads according to consignments
- Provide support to Warehouse Managers on team member learning as required
- Work to build strong relationships with internal departments ensuring open channels of communication
- Identify possible hazards and report in line with National Tiles policies
- Ensure all heavy vehicle loads and load restraints comply with National Tiles operating standards
- Proactively monitor and report non-compliant transport activities in relation to speed and fatigue management and vehicle maintenance
- Ensure business practices do not allow, encourage, or coerce another party member to breach the Heavy Vehicle National Law

- Experience in a Warehouse/Administration setting

- High level of accountability and excellent communication skills
- Proactive and reliable in busy team environments

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A forklift licence is preferred but not essential
