About the role
Working within a cartage team 4 strong, booking all FCL wharf cartage, LCL and air transport movements for your list of clients with job notes in the internal system for the brokers and a complete understanding of your clients transport delivery requirements. An understanding of underbond movements and quarantine specifics to keep on top of any changes of delivery address or issues that pop up out of nowhere like they are known to do at the final stages of the supply chain.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Time slot bookings through transport companies for wharf cartage
- Daily interaction with clients for updates
- Wholesale and airline interaction for bookings
- Internal department relationship building and interactions
- Underbond movements
- Quarantine procedure requirement understanding
Skills & Experience
- Freight forwarding experience
- Cartage transport background
- FCL (mainly), as well as LCL & Air deliveries
- One-Stop & ICS exposure
- Rapport building skills with clients and internal colleagues
- Underbond & Quarantine understandings
