Front Of House Manager

We are looking for an energetic and motivated Front of House Manager to join our team.

This position will suit a self-motivated and confident individual who takes immense pride in customer service and has previous experience working in a cafe/restaurant setting.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment, can work unsupervised and take the lead of a dynamic team.  

About the role

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Ability to lead a team of Front of House (FOH) Staff, including rosters and delegation of day to day duties
• Maintain Training and quality standards of staff
• Have proven Barista Skills – Latte art skills preferred
• Stocktake and Ordering
• Cash handling and end of day reconciliation of takings
• Provide exceptional food and beverage service to guests
• Respond appropriately to complaints and taking all appropriate actions to turn any possible dissatisfied customer into a return customer
• Show initiative with new ideas to increase sales and minimise costs
• Communicate effectively with Kitchen staff 
• Ensure sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness of all areas is adhered to
• Ensure safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury
• Setup beforehand, clear during and after service

• Strong attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong Team Player
• Ability to motivate any other employees to work as a team not only to create the best environment for the guest but for the whole cafe
• Demonstrated Barista Experience
• Strong ability to multitask and prioritise 
• Have a strong initiative to self-manage and manage others

Experience / Qualifications required: 

• Hospitality Experience: 2 years preferred in similar role
• Barista Experience 
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills
• Familiarity with Point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software
• Hold a current SA driver’s licence and have own transport
• RSA Certificate
