Key Responsibilities- Lead, supervise, and support staff to achieve objectives.
- Ensure day-to-day service delivery aligns with organisational goals and industry standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to enhance tenant wellbeing and satisfaction.
- Maintain high levels of tenant satisfaction with maintenance services.
- Foster a positive workplace culture.
- Provide timely and responsive maintenance services to tenants.
- Ensure reliable after-hours maintenance support.
- Plan and conduct Building Condition inspections and reports.
- Ensure compliance with Housing Standards and building codes.
- Offer guidance to the Housing team on maintenance issues.
Skills & Experience:- Possess a Trade/Building qualification or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Hold a valid DHS Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Clearance.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Show proficiency in managing building maintenance work, particularly in Community Housing Provider settings.
- Communicate effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
- Negotiate effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Lead teams and effectively manage performance.
- Familiarity with the Retirement Villages Act 2016 and related regulations (desirable).
- Knowledgeable about landlord maintenance responsibilities under the Residential Tenancies Act and agreements with the SA Government.
