The Front-of-House (FOH) Manager is responsible for the management of NIDA FOH Team and the FOH services at NIDA venues. The role leads events and bar staff to provide an exceptional customer service experience to clients, patrons, visitors, and internal stakeholders. A key member of NIDA Theatres team, the FOH Manager will exercise high level of initiative, be customer oriented, and, in close collaboration with other NIDA departments, will promote a welcoming, inclusive, safe, and sustainable environment for audiences and guests.
Standard working hours typically span from 9am – 6pm, Mon-Fri, for a total of 38 hrs. per week. It may require occasional flexibility to supervise evening and weekend events. Time in lieu arrangements can be negotiated.
About You
Essential:
- Experience in leading and administering a diverse team of employees, motivating them to build a rewarding team culture and empowering them to deliver excellent and consistent outcomes.
- Exceptional customer service experience, coupled with a calm and friendly can-do demeanour and a strong problem-solving ethic.
- Strong planning, organisational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain resilience and professional behaviour in dealing with competing demands in a high-traffic and pressured environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate and foster stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in using initiative to exceed stakeholder expectations and develop and/or improve processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated willingness to embrace organisational change, including use of modern technology and an ability to analyse and problem solve in the context of change and continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the performing arts, entertainment, or event industry.
- Experience using rostering systems and operational logistic planning technologies.
- Strong interest in the performing arts.
About the role
This is a full-time 2-year contract.
The base annual salary is $82,301 gross per annum + 11% Superannuation, based on a 38-hour working week.
