The Doss House is looking for a General Manager who is passionate about whiskey and can lead our team of talented bar professionals. This is a rare opportunity to join a quality-driven and high-performing team, delivering unique and memorable experiences & events to our guests.
Reporting to the Group General Manager, The General Manager of The Doss House is responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Doss House, including staff training, team management, venue presentation and the overall guest experience.
Located in the historic heart of The Rocks & on the footstep of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Doss House is an award-winning underground whiskey bar. Our focus is on our guests, we guarantee friendly service, a high-quality product, a beautiful atmosphere and overall, a memorable experience.
This position requires a minimum of three years experience managing in a similar style of venue. An in depth understanding of whiskey and service systems is a pre-requisite for consideration in the role.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily venue operations, ensuring smooth service, exceptional guest experiences, and compliance with quality and service standards.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing enthusiastic team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure staff deliver top-notch service and guest experience.
Guest Relations: Foster a welcoming and customer-centric atmosphere, addressing guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and care.
Financial Management: Manage budgeting, cost control, and revenue enhancement strategies to optimize the venue's financial performance.
Inventory and Procurement: Oversee inventory management and procurement processes to maintain the highest quality of ingredients and supplies.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, as well as licensing requirements.
Events: Liaise with the marketing & functions to ensure the smooth delivery of events.
Research and Development: A creative and innovative nature to curate an impressive whiskey list as well as a food and beverage menu.
