Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Section Waiter to join our team at Le Bouchon, a French restaurant on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. We are a busy, well-oiled machine with a loyal following of regular guests. Over the past decade Le Bouchon has built up an excellent reputation to provide our guests with an authentically French experience. Our ideal candidate will have a welcoming personality, be knowledgeable about French cuisine, and enjoy providing excellent customer service to their assigned section of guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in their assigned section
- Take orders and serve food and drinks to guests in their assigned section
- Make recommendations and answer questions about the menu to guests in their assigned section
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in their assigned section
- Assist with other tasks as needed in their assigned section
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of experience as a waiter in a good restaurant
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of French cuisine is a plus
- Speaking French is a plus but not a necessity
