The Smart Communities Team are responsible for the delivery, management and support of the company's wholesale fibre-to-the-premises and wireless internet services. As Frontline Support, you'll provide first-level technical support to the end user and client as well as providing real time support to Smart Communities network customers.
What will you do?
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity issues across various operating systems and devices such as smartphones, tablets, computers, gaming consoles, smart home devices.
- Troubleshoot end user device applications affecting network access (firewall, security software, private MAC addressing).
- Identify and troubleshoot network faults from multiple vendors (Ruckus, Aruba, Cisco, Juniper, etc.) including access points, switches, servers
- Manage assigned and incoming support requests in-line with OLAs.
- Ensure timely response and resolution of all calls, emails and unresponsive nodes in line with SLAs.
- Maintain technical documentation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and/or experience:
- Strong experience in networking or IT related role.
- Srong customer service ethic and communication skills.
- Sound understanding of ethernet switching technologies.
- Sound understanding of wireless technologies, radio frequencies and coverage zones
- Desirable - knowledge of systems and user interfaces such as Solarwinds (Orion), Mikrotik server (Winbox, The Dude), PuTTY, mRemoteNG, Ruckus, HP Aruba Central, and switches (JunOS, Cisco, Dlink, Tplink, Allied Telesis).
- Desirable - Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience to the same leve
