We are seeking passionate and experienced Registered Nurses – Scrub Scout to join the Perioperative team on a Full-Time basis. As a Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout your responsibilities will include:
Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team including the Surgical Consultant, Fellows, Registrar, and Allied Health to achieve excellence in patient’s clinical outcomes and hospital experience
Ensure patient and staff safety
Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the patient
Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology

The hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle, close to beaches and the Hunter Valley and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. The hospital is an 83 bed facility which offers a variety of surgical, medical and rehabilitation services.
About You
Current Registration with AHPRA
Minimum 3 years experience as an RN in a perioperative setting
Experience in Neurosurgery, Cardiac and Vascular (Desirable)
Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Commitment to quality patient care
