About the role
Firebrand is Australia’s leading BBQ fuel company. Family owned and operated since 2006, we have always had a large focus on community and spreading the love of cooking with charcoal and fire. We are across hospitality supply and have an established mega store in Arndell Park in Sydney’s West, called Sydney's BBQ Mecca.
We are seeking a motivated person to assist us in taking this passion to another level.
This part-time role comes with the flexibility of working from home and/or from our offices, located in Arndell Park in Sydney. Details TBC based on the situation.
The successful applicant will work closely with the General Manager of the company and alongside an energetic team. The role will be responsible for the development, management and execution of a variety of development and digital (eCommerce) marketing strategies.
The successful applicant will have a strong background in development and some experience in digital marketing and management of established eCommerce websites. They will have a talent for identifying opportunities, conceiving strategies, and the capability to roll up sleeves and execute those strategies, with the assistance of our team and working partners. They will also have strong written communication skills.
We are essentially looking for someone who is passionate about their craft, across all of the latest developments in their field... and is ready to bring that energy to a team and a business that is every bit as passionate and committed to success as they are.
The skills we’re looking for:
- At least 2 years in a similar role.
- Designing, developing and maintaining APIs.
- Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
- Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
- Creating servers and databases for functionality.
- Fluency in JavaScript.
- Must be able to work autonomously and maintain our NodeJS server.
- At least 1 year experience with ReactJS
- Experience in writing clean code in MVC
- Maintenance of the Expo and React Native App.
- Able to Fix Bugs.
- Must also be able to maintain the NodeJS server and mongo DB database.
- An understanding of PHP and experience with WooCommerce and WordPress CMS Platforms & WC API.
- Able to fix bugs.
- Must be able to initialize, implement and develop effective strategies and communicate those strategies to our team.
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Highly motivated, energetic and a ‘hands on’ approach to your craft. There will be BBQ’ing involved.
You’re at an advantage if you have experience with:
- JIRA
- Trello
- Firebase Storage
- Amazon Web Services
