FULL TIME Accountant
We are an Australian, independently owned and a full-service travel retail company delivering wide range of domestic and international flights, stopover & holiday packages, adventure tours & travel insurance with up-to-date travel solutions worldwide.
We are seeking an enthusiastic & experienced Accountant to be based in our Victoria office.
Tasks include but not limited to:
• Prepare comprehensive monthly management reports (including variance analysis)
• Generate detailed reports to facilitate strategic decision-making.
• Managing costing processes to optimize expenditure and enhance cost-effectiveness.
• Contribute to the development of cost models for various business activities.
• Formulate organisational budgetary and accounting/costing policies
• Project costing and capital asset evaluation.
Skill level required:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting role. Must have an experience with travel industry & intercompany accounting practice.
• Ability to analyse and communicate financial information.
• Experience with ERP Systems, Xero & QuickBooks accounting software and Microsoft Office software with advanced Excel skills.
• High-level communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to consult and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels.
• Good understanding of business process, internal controls, and have technical knowledge of Income Tax, BAS returns, Superannuation, W/H Tax, and Payroll Tax.
