The Shingle Inn Bakery, operated by David Peters Group that also runs the Shingle Inn Cafe network and Gilhooleys Irish Pub, is seeking someone with outstanding attention to detail to join our team.
Our focus is on making superior quality products, using traditional recipes and methods to supply our cafes around Australia.

Candidate Skills and Experience:
- Experience in bakery production and management
- Management skills with proven success in leading teams
- Strong focus on quality and innovation
- Excellent communication skills
- Qualification in Baking and proficiency in all aspects of pastry and cake production
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Extensive experience in bakery production
- Quality Control – monitoring of quality of products
- Expense Control of bakery costs – wage budgets, gross profit, expense items.
- Stock Management – purchasing raw materials, cost reduction, stock-on-hand levels
- Logistics Management – ensuring timely and accurate supply to stores
- Product development of new cost-effective, innovative products to keep abreast of current trends
- Participate in production duties as required
- Manage production equipment and maintenance
- Manage and lead the bakery team
Salary Circa $60K
