Bondi’s most prominent and reputed café – Café Bondi is looking for a full-time Chef to join its team.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing, cooking, garnishing and plating food to ensure consistent with high quality standards.
- Maintaining high level standard of food preparation.
- Clean and maintain kitchen and equipment’s to food safety standards.
- Be responsible for stock orders, maintain relationships with vendors.
- Be up to date with industry trends and create new recipes.
- Able to supervise and train kitchen staff to different cooking techniques and procedure as per company policy.
- Be punctual and presentable.
- Maintain required temperatures for different food types into temperature controlled facilities.
- Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements of the patrons.
- Ensure minimum food wastage.
- Be responsible for food preparation, replenishment and stock rotation in the kitchen.
You Must
- Have a minimum of 2 years proven work experience in the similar role.
- Hold all relevant and current industry certificates.
- The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Must have excellent communication skills, approachable manner, and a strong customer service focus.
- Professionally presented and well-groomed at all times.
- Available to work for early morning.
- Have full Australian working rights.
