Job Description:

We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Metal Fitters and Machinists to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and machining metal components to precise specifications, contributing to the maintenance and repair of various equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine machining requirements.

• Set up and operate manual and computer-controlled machinery, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to shape and finish metal parts.

• Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure they meet tolerances and quality standards, making adjustments as necessary.

• Perform fitting, assembling, and welding tasks to join metal components and structures, using various techniques and tools.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment, and perform repairs or modifications as required.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment, and adhere to safety procedures and regulations at all times.

• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop solutions and improvements for production processes and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III or IV in Engineering (Metal Fabrication, Fitting and Machining, or related field) is required.

• Proven experience as a Metal Fitter, Machinist, or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Strong knowledge of machining techniques, metalworking processes, and machine tool operation.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
