Form of workNew Metal Surfaces is an industry leader in surface engineering, providing thermal spraying and machining services to various industries in Australia.
We are currently seeking trade qualified manual machinists to work in our Kewdale workshop. The desired applicants must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate in First Class Machining or Fitting and Turning
- Have experience in a medium to heavy engineering workshop environment
- Be able to demonstrate safe work practices always.
- Experience using any of the following Machines
- Vertical Borer (Manual)
- Horizontal Borer (Manual)
- Milling Machines (Manual)
- Lathes (Manual)
- Must be able to read and interpret Engineering and Machining Drawings.
- Accurately read and work with both metric and imperial measurements.
- General maintenance and cleanliness of machines and work area.
In addition the following attributes would be highly regarded:
- Reliability
- Positive attitude
- Immediate start desirable.
- Current driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Good communication Skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
Other relevant Qualifications or Experience that would be beneficial are:
- Forklift License
- Thermal Spray
- Dogging Licence
