This role plays a crucial role in ensuring that business processes run smoothly by providing support for applications and integration points. This role will provide day to day support to systems users, support cyclical HR activities such as bulk changes and terminations, develop user guides and training materials, and provide technical support to HR team members.
What can I expect to be doing in the role?
- Support the HCMS team with regular, cyclical activities within the system including but not limited to bulk changes and terminations.
- Understand the business through supporting the analysis of requirements and proposed solution design.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify problems and opportunities and work with the principal analysts to design and deliver improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
- Take prompt action on operational activities to maintain system health.
- Provide ongoing assistance to business users and internal teams.
- Debug and troubleshoot application functionality to enhance performance.
- Validate use cases through thorough testing.
- Adopt and promote sound cyber security practices in compliance with UQ's Cyber Security Policy.
- Produce high-quality documentation for new features, processes, and training guides.
- Degree (preferably in HR, IT or a business-related area) and two years relevant experience; or experience as a business analyst or HR generalist with a focus on system support and improvement; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Commitment to upholding the University's values, and with outstanding personal qualities of openness, respectfulness and integrity
- Experience in documenting and maintaining business process and or data structures of enterprise systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) not essential but highly regarded.
This is a full-time, fixed term position at HEW Level 6.
The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $88,099- $94,512 plus super of 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $103,076 - $110,579 per annum.
This role is based at our beautiful St Lucia campus with multiple food options, coffee spots, public transport access and salary sacrificed parking. We offer flexible working arrangements with hybrid working from the office and home.
