York Events is part of Club York, situated in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, offers a contemporary and well-appointed venue ideal for a wide range of events, including corporate meetings, conferences, seminars, cocktail receptions, and exclusive dining experiences. With a significant multimillion-dollar renovation planned for 2024/25, we are looking to further expand our team to drive exceptional events.
Role overview:
As an Events Coordinator at York Events, you will play a key role in delivering events that exceed client expectations and enhance York Events’ reputation for excellence. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with clients, managing event logistics, and ensuring that each event runs smoothly. This role is well-suited for someone who is organized, communicative, adaptable, and eager to grow within the event management field, with opportunities for professional development and mentorship from experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organising, and executing various events, including corporate meetings, parties, shows, and community gatherings.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure each event exceeds their expectations.
- Develop and manage detailed event timelines and schedules
- Oversee events, promptly addressing any issues to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for guests.
- Coordinate catering requirements with caterers.
- Ensure venue preparation, setup, and final checks are conducted to meet and exceed established standards.
About you:
- Experience in event coordination or planning is preferred but not required.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours as needed during events.
- RSA and RCG certification (bar experience preferred).
