The Role:
Due to the nature of the business’ events requirements, this role is on a 7-day roster with 2 consecutive days off.
As the Functions & Events Operations Manager, you will be taking on a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing events ranging from corporate functions, conferences to weddings. This is an operational management position where you will be supported by a dedicated functions team.
More specifically, the responsibilities cover the following key accountabilities:
- Plan, organise, and execute functions and events, ensuring excellence in every detail.
- Budget planning and financial management for each event, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial goals.
- Conduct market research and stay informed about industry trends to ensure events remain cutting-edge and competitive.
- Take an autonomous role in overseeing the end-to-end event management process, from conceptualization to execution.
- Identify potential risks associated with events and develop contingency plans to mitigate.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and community organisations to ensure repeat business.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages creativity and innovation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing concerns promptly.

- 3+ years’ relevant experience in functions/events management
- Management experience (rosters/casual team members)
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- A team player who thrives in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A strong passion for hands-on work and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated and able to perform under pressure.
- Engaging personality with effective computer, time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
- Up to $85k + superannuation.
