About the Role
Working 2-3 days per week, covering Wednesday and Thursdays with the potential to pick up extra hours in the future if that interests you. Ideally, you will have the flexibility to increase your hours to cover holidays or busy times throughout the year.
This role will see you responsible for
1. Preparation of Daily Shadow NAV Reports:
- Compile and analyse financial data to prepare daily shadow NAV reports.
- Utilise accounting software and spreadsheets to accurately calculate Net Asset Value (NAV).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
2. Calculations of Returns:
- Compute investment returns using established methodologies.
- Conduct performance analysis to evaluate investment performance relative to benchmarks.
- Collaborate with investment teams to gather necessary data and ensure accuracy of calculations.
3. Month-End Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of month-end financial statements.
- Reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and analyse variance reports to identify discrepancies and trends.
4. Efficient and Accurate Reconciliations:
- Conduct reconciliations of various accounts, including cash, investments, and liabilities.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Implement improvements to reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
This Role Is Perfect For You If
You're a highly skilled Accountant seeking part-time hours sharing our passion for excellence with an interest in finance and share trading knowledge. Additionally, you will:
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant accounting role
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ideally hold a valid Chartered Accountant qualification and relevant Degree.
- Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible Team Player who is versatile and adaptable to the needs of the team and the tasks in hand.
- Strong technical accounting ability and advanced in Excel.
