Solaris Cancer Care (SCC) is a not-for-profit organisation, which provides state-wide support to Western Australians and their carers living with cancer. The organisation delivers complementary support, therapies, education and provides resources to people living with cancer in WA. We help people achieve a good quality of life whilst they are receiving mainstream cancer treatments. 

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Fundraising and Admin Assistant to provide administrative support to Solaris Cancer Care Marketing and Fundraising initiatives as well as Assisting the CEO and Finance department in a fundraising administration capacity. This is a fulltime position or part time in a job share capacity. 

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Promotional inventory management. 
  • Database management.
  • Event volunteer rostering.
  • Promotional Calls.
  • Scheduling fundraising, marketing meetings for the Fundraising & Marketing Manager & CEO.
  • Assisting in the set up and running of events and client activities
  • Contacting external 3rd party providers.
  • Visit on occasion Dr surgeries and nursing homes to present literature to be shown at the locations.
  • Support public event participants with their fundraising efforts by offering fundraising advice and tips.
  • Attend monthly committee meetings.
  • Chip away at grant applications.
  • Assist at our events and plan fundraising initiatives 
  • Research grant and fundraising opportunities.
  • Network with volunteers, businesses and philanthropists to generate fundraising opportunities.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring of local donor partnerships.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Initiative, self-direction and a proactive work approach
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to tailor information based on the audience
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft 365, other platforms/systems and social media schedulers
  • Collaborative project management skills

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven experience in customer service, telemarketing or face to face sales.
  • Administrative experience.
  • Database management preferable.
  • Experience assisting in an event management environment would be beneficial.
