About The Position

As the General Manager, you will helm a dynamic team and drive operational efficiency while fostering a culture of passion and performance. Embrace the charm of Horsham, where a thriving community, scenic landscapes, and vibrant culture await, offering an unparalleled quality of life.

Position Description

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the Racing Centre's competitiveness and market position.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement among staff members.
  • Collaborate with marketing and promotional teams to drive attendance and revenue through innovative campaigns and events.
  • Monitor financial performance, prepare budgets, and implement cost-effective measures to optimize resource utilization.
  • Uphold high standards of safety, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Racing Centre, regulatory bodies, and other industry stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and stay abreast of industry trends.

Position Requirements

  • Proven track record of successful leadership and management in a similar capacity, preferably within the hospitality, entertainment, or sports industries.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders including staff, patrons, sponsors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of racing industry practices, regulations, and trends is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, sports management, or a related field is preferred.
