The General Manager is responsible for all operations involving Mackenzie Marine and Towage (MMT).
- Actively promote and ensure safe working practices and systems are followed at all times.
- Developing budgets and plans to ensure all current and future obligations are met.
- Oversee the QSEMS
- Leadership and management of all employees.
- HR overview in conjunction with other service providers.
- Staff retention and recruitment to align with crew requirements.
- Development and implementation of financial and capital budgets.
- Control of spending.
- Monitoring and reporting of budgets.
- Review operational costs.
- Develop future finance options to accommodate company strategy.
- FX & hedging requirements
- Investigating alternative finance options
- Management of MMT QSEMS system.
- Ensure adherence to all MMT policies and procedures.
- Direct response to internal and external audits of QSEMS.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with the Southern Ports Authority on contractual issues.
- Establish operational policies and processes to ensure compliance with legal obligations.
- Analysis and report on business opportunities.
- Provide detailed reports to the MMT Board as required.
- Contribute to the development of a strategic plan.
