An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, innovative and strategic General Manager, Advocacy to join Hutt St Centre, tasked with the responsibility for designing and achieving Hutt St Centre’s critically important fundraising objectives, while overseeing the development and management of philanthropic partnerships and supporting the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the delivery of the communications strategy.
Reporting to the CEO, and working closely to support the Foundation Committee of the Board, you will be responsible for Hutt St Centre’s brand while leading the development and delivery of strategies which increase the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing and communication channels; including media, external communications, digital, social, events and community education. Concurrently, your role will have remit for delivering and assessing the sustainability and effectiveness of current programs, while identifying new and innovative ways to promote the outstanding work of Hutt St Centre; ultimately leading to homefulness outcomes for its clients.
Responsible for a team of eight, we are seeking a leader who is empathetic, committed to and demonstrably able to live the values of Hutt St Centre in all dealings with clients, staff, volunteers, funders and the community, championing the cause and bringing out the best in people. You will be a creative and proactive innovator, who sees beyond the current context and pursues excellence in service delivery which adapts to the changing environment and demand, and someone who identifies and capitalises upon business opportunities which meet Hutt St Centre’s values, strategic priorities and goals.
