Working with the Executive Director and Executive Leadership Team and in alignment with the strategic directions established by the Board, the new General Manager (GM) will be responsible for the development and implementation of plans for achieving service quality excellence and strong business growth in ADEC’s Advocacy, Disability and Support Services.
The new General Manager will also effectively lead ADEC’s Advocacy, Plan Management, NDIS Appeals, Capacity Building and Direct Care Service teams to achieve or exceed performance targets in relation to:
- Development of the desired ADEC customer-centric culture;
- Client satisfaction and service quality;
- Quality and risk management outcomes, including compliance with legislation and standards; and
- Financial targets.
The role may be based at South Morang, Dandenong or Werribee. Flexible employment arrangements will be considered for the right candidate and an attractive remuneration package is on offer.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications at Bachelor level or equivalent in a relevant field including but not limited to social work, community services, or health services.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant operations management at senior level.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead change.
- Proven commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and grow community service programs and/or workforce agencies.
- Experience with successful funding applications.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and achieving operational budgets.
Highly Desirable Criteria
- Lived experience of living with a disability or caring for someone with a disability or the elderly.
- Experience working with Boards of Management.
Mandatory Compliance
- Must have clear NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Must have clear National Police Check
- Must have valid Working With Children Check
- Must have Victorian Driver’s License
- Must have evidence of right to work in Australia
