What does the job look like?
Linfox partners with iconic multi-modal transport service providers & customers across both Road & Rail operations, to provide competitive supply chain solutions nationally. Our business continues to invest in its people and resources, enabling it to provide innovative and comprehensive long distance supply chain solutions throughout Australia. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated General Manager who shares and can deliver our vision of operational excellence and shape the future of our logistics business.
Reporting to the President of Intermodal, you will be well positioned to formulate strategic objectives and priorities and implement plans consistent with the long-term objectives of the business. You will work in partnership with numerous stakeholders both internal and external, assuming responsibility for safety, operational, financial and customer service performance to facilitate sustainable growth. Success in this high-profile position will see you have a direct impact on the FY25 strategy. Key areas:
- Provide commercial leadership with overall P&L responsibility for building and retaining a sustainable customer base and ensuring service delivery is in line with contractual requirements
- Proactive management of customer relationships to facilitate growth through new customer integration and organic growth of existing accounts
- Identifying, evaluating and addressing risks with operational responsibility focused on driving improvement and innovation across the network – translating strategic priorities into operational reality
- Effective management and development of cross functional teams to promote a customer centric culture across geographically diverse operations
- Oversee operating budgets and direct teams to effectively analyse equipment and operational tasks to deliver productive outcomes and promotion of continuous improvement and a safety-first culture
Are you the one?
This is a pivotal role requiring a manager with extensive experience within the transport industry. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience developing high performance teams and a customer centric culture within a complex supply chain environment. You can demonstrate:
- Excellent stakeholder engagement with an ability to build strong relationships across all levels and effectively implement and manage supply contracts
- Strong understanding of revenue models, rate cards, P&L, cost-to-serve and commercial analytics
- Ability to confidently lead, drive outcomes and develop diverse high-performance teams
- Process driven, analytical and methodical with a passion to drive continuous improvement
