We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for an accomplished General Manager of Compliance to join their ranks. This role, initially overseeing two direct reports, offers the chance to spearhead compliance efforts within the organisation, reporting directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate Compliance Culture: Drive a culture of compliance-first mentality, ensuring thorough understanding and adherence to regulatory obligations to mitigate risks effectively.
- Internal Compliance Assurance: Implement robust internal compliance measures, including stringent quality assurance protocols across all operational facets.
- Regulatory Relations: Manage relationships with regulators, minimising interference while efficiently handling audits, inquiries, and investigations.
- Complaints Oversight: Oversee the resolution of both internal and external complaints, aiming to streamline processes, reduce costs, and identify areas for improvement.
- Feedback Utilisation: Actively utilize customer feedback, including NPS responses, to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Operational Support: Provide support to business units in developing and implementing compliant systems, processes, and training programs.
- Regulatory Awareness: Stay abreast of legal and regulatory changes, advocating for beneficial adjustments that align with organisational goals.
- Strategic Advisory: Offer strategic guidance to the CEO and Executive Team on compliance-related matters, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.
- Values Advocacy: Uphold and promote company values, policies, and procedures at all levels of the organization.
- Team Leadership: Lead and empower a high-performing compliance team, effectively managing resources within allocated budget constraints.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience: Over a decade of senior-level experience in compliance and operational roles within the energy sector, showcasing proven team management skills and commercial acumen.
- Skills: Proficiency in compliance management systems, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Advanced analytical and organizational prowess, adept at managing priorities and driving tangible results. A firm commitment to enhancing customer experience and fostering a positive team culture.
