General Manager Finance - Hotel
ALH is a leader in the Hospitality industry with ~350 pubs across the country. ALH (Hotels) is undergoing a significant change and growth journey over the next 3-5 years.
To help lead this change, we are seeking an experienced Finance leader, with deep strategic and commercial acumen, as well as strong leadership and influencing skills. As a key member of the Hotels leadership team and the Endeavour Finance Leadership Team, you will help influence and drive the overall strategy for the business, provide valuable commercial input and be a critical Business Partner.
The successful candidate will understand the role data and analytics play in adding value through forward looking analysis and insight across multiple performance drivers.
Key operating priorities:
- Team leadership: Directly lead professional finance team of ~14 FTE. Leverage peer relationships with GMs of Finance for each of the Endeavour Drinks businesses (BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Pinnacle, Group) to ensure all of Endeavour Finance is aligned and coordinated in the performance of the Finance function overall, continuously deepening the value delivered to the business.
- Transformation: Play a leadership role in positioning the finance team as a strategic business partner by driving a focus on delivering value-adding insight and analytics to support decision making, and removing or automating redundant activity.
- Strategy: Partner with key stakeholders on the development of business strategy and the feasibility of strategic projects, including preparation of financial analysis / modelling and business cases
- Budget and performance management: Proactively lead the annual budget process as well as forecasts and any other strategic planning requirements
- Monitoring performance against plan, establishing early warning signals to ensure that plans are met or that corrective actions are taken. Avoid surprises through proactive oversight and communication.
- Performance reporting: Deliver timely, insightful and accurate business performance reporting
- Ensure robust frameworks are in place for all operations and commercial reporting, with a focus on reporting improvements and automation where possible
- Drive and ensure strong commercial governance is embedded within the business
- Work with Format & Property teams on renewals, acquisitions, developments and divestments to optimise return on capital investments
- Lead portfolio management and network performance reviews
- Financial Control: Work with the Financial control team to manage robust financial control framework
- Contribute to the review of processes, procedures and systems, driving alignment and continuous improvement across Endeavour.

- Degree qualified in financial discipline
- CA / CPA or equivalent + financial and management accounting experience
- Track record of progression in relevant professional roles

- People management in a high performance environment
- Experience working in a matrix organisation, collaborating with peers to deliver results
