The Role
We're looking for a Payroll Officer who can prepare and process the fortnightly payroll in accordance with the Local Government Award, Council’s Enterprise Agreements and policies. You will also maintain employee records and provide effective communications with staff regarding payroll matters.
About You
- You will have a minimum of 3 years payroll experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- A strong commitment to delivering quality customer service, and a positive, professional and co-operative approach to working with others
- Highly proficient in iChris (Frontier)
- High level of numeracy, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- A strong commitment to delivering quality customer service, particularly in the area of resolving customer inquiries
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Accounting, Financial Services, Bookkeeping or equivalent is highly desirable
- Local Government experience is desirable
