EXCITING NEW OPPORTUNITY - MINING SECTOR ELECTRICAL & PLUMBING GENERAL MANAGER
As General Manager you will lead projects & staff across multiple work fronts in the mining industry, specialising in camp site establishment, refurbishment and maintenance.
Working closely with your group of Project Managers, you will ensure delivery of projects to schedule and budget, troubleshooting technical issues and resolving project challenges where required. You will lead planning, scheduling and budgeting of projects, as well as elevating safety standards, ordering supplies and materials, and keeping track of vendor pricing.
You will be managing an electrical and plumbing projects team with both trade bases working in conjunction on the same projects.
Based in our Perth office, you will be required to attend sites across Western Australia as needed, to ensure project management standards have been met, adequate progress is being made, and that you are meeting the required deadlines. You will be a critical piece in the senior management team, leading all personnel to execute your clients' desired outcomes on site.
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
- Minimum 10 years operational management experience in mining & construction
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or construction management (preferred but not essential)
- Proven history successfully managing multi-disciplinary delivery teams
- Excellent cost management and contractual understanding
- Strong ability to prioritise and organise requirements across multiple sites, staff, materials & equipment
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities to lead minimum 30+ staff
- Excellent all-round communication skills to liaise with all stake holders including clients and service trades
- Current C class driver's license
- Police clearance
