The role of General Manager - Operations is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, managing risks, and fostering collaboration across teams. We are seeking a leader who possesses a wealth of experience in running projects of varying size and complexity. Your ability to effectively manage multiple project teams sequentially will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving our ambitious goals.
Key responsibilities
- Form part of the leadership team, which consists of leaders responsible for driving the overall strategic direction of Multiworks.
- Oversee and collaborate with all project management teams and site delivery teams.
- Focus on operational excellence, oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. This includes project management, planning, supply chain management, risk assessment, and cost control to ensure optimal efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Manage a competent project delivery team, nurturing a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Inspire and motivate the team, maximise performance and foster professional growth.
- Build a collaborative and supportive environment, create a high-performing team that consistently delivers exceptional results.
- Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with clients. Emphasising low- conflict environments and relationship-focused practices, foster trust, open communication, and shared objectives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners, to optimise collaboration, resource utilisation, and project outcomes.
About You
This position would suit a candidate who possesses the following:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the construction industry.
- Strong background in project management, including successful delivery of projects of varying size and complexity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
