The Bloomfield Group is a proud and successful Australian mining and engineering group. Australian owned and operated, we have been part of the community for over 85 years and employ around 600 local people.
The Bloomfield Group owns and operates two open-cut coal mines in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. These operations are our Rix’s Creek Mine northwest of Singleton, and our Bloomfield Mine east of Maitland. Coal from the Rix’s Creek Mine and Bloomfield Mine is railed to the Port of Newcastle and loaded onto ships using Port Waratah Coal Services (PWCS). Bloomfield is a founding member and shareholder of PWCS.
The Bloomfield Group also proudly owns and operates Kings Engineering, a leading NSW Engineering business and a biofuel processing operation.
About the role
This key leadership role reports directly into the Chief Executive Officer, working collaboratively with other members of our Group Strategy Team (GST) and stakeholders to deliver on group business objectives.
This highly rewarding role will lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of new opportunities, managing exploration and development activities, securing regulatory approvals, and overseeing biodiversity management. This diverse opportunity requires someone with considerable experience in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and risk management to ensure alignment with business goals and sustainability standards.
We are seeking a solutions driven individual who has substantial experience working within the mining industry in a senior leadership role. You will have a strong foundation of technical skills in mining, planning and exploration complemented by degree qualifications in Mining Engineering, Environmental or related discipline. Your ability to bring strategic vision and leadership and drive forward business objectives will be fundamental to your success in this role.
