About the role:
Reporting to the Executive General Manager SEQ Assets, you will lead your team in program and project management as well as contract, design and project support services across major works and capital projects for SEQ.
The General Manager is responsible for delivering a capital program of approximately $300 million, highlighted projects include:
- Station accessibility upgrade
- Rail system replacement
- Rollingstock overhaul programs for electric units
- Rail upgrades and renewals
A key focus will be developing the capabilities of the team and building on the culture of continuous improvement for both delivery of sustainable and growth capital projects and utilisation of our people and resources.
Salary will be commensurate with the preferred candidate’s experience and suitability.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in the planning and successful delivery of complex programs and projects
- Experience leading a large multidisciplinary team with success achieving performance goals
- An established track record using creativity and innovation to drive change to achieve organisational transformation
- Demonstrated skills in managing third parties for delivery of complex projects
- A proven passion for safety and continuous improvement coupled with an excellent track record of driving change
- Excellent communication and engagement skills with the ability to effortlessly develop positive relationships with a diverse group of key stakeholders

Our SEQ Asset business is responsible for delivering infrastructure services, construction, maintenance, asset management and development. Our culture is based around safety and performance.
Within SEQ Assets sits our SEQ Project Delivery team, playing a key role in ensuring we deliver safe and reliable infrastructure and transport for the people of Queensland.
Your team consist of 6 direct reports and more than 100 project professionals covering areas of Stations & Facilities, Rail Systems, Track & Civil and Rollingstock
