The General Manager – Community Development & Sustainability is a pivotal role within the business that will oversee community development including a range of services and financials for remote communities in the specific lands.
This highly visible role reports directly into the CEO and will work closely with the board, internal and external stakeholders, and wider executive management team.
Responsibilities will cover leadership development, strategy, program management and work in conjunction with HR, Safety and Finance.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Overseeing grants and funding
- Adult training
- Youth development
- Finance management
- Stakeholder management and liaison
- Liaison with local government departments and heads
- Municipal services
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans
- Experience in grants and financial management
- Knowledge of Aboriginal cultures, histories
