Geotechnical Engineer

This is a great opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a large EPCM with a supportive group of Engineers, undertaking geotechnical deisgn and analysis on various mine and port projects. This long-term contract role is based at my clients Perth CBD office with occassional site visits as required.

You will contribute to the project through:

• Minimum of three years’ experience as a Geotechnical Engineer
• Monitor and document construction activities undertaken by the contractor
• Geotechnical design and analysis 
• Conducting geotechnical hazard identification risk assessments, monitor rock deformations
• Support project planning team
• Work on and design geotechnical projects from initial proposals to fieldwork, and ensure comprehensive analysis and reporting through the full project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a background & experience in:

• Bachelor of Geotechnical engineering
• Experience undertaking geotechnical analysis 
• Classification systems, structure analysis, failure mode and slope stability analysis
• Previous experience working on site and willing to go to site if and when required
• Results driven but safety cautious mentality
• Respectful and clear communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team
• Ability to efficiently utilise internal and external stakeholders’ time
• Previous experience within a similar role
