Everick Geospatial is seeking to add an experienced Brisbane based GIS Specialist and Team Lead to our fast growing GIS business. Everick Geospatial is an arm of Everick Heritage. Since our establishment in 2002, Everick has developed a strong client base and reputation for providing quality advice and operating with integrity. We offer a full range of professional GIS consulting services to both the government and private sectors in a range of industries including mining, major infrastructure, renewable energies and residential development.

The GIS Specialist / Manager will lead the Everick Geospatial team, reporting to the Geospatial Principal. They will be undertaking an important leadership role and offered the opportunity to influence key decisions impacting geospatial data management and services in the business.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a Specialist Geospatial Consultant, providing expertise in geospatial data management and Geospatial services.
- Lead the delivery of the GIS components in Cultural Heritage projects, managing the requirements, schedules, and the coordination of work.
- Maintain close collaboration with multiple field teams, strategic technical partnerships, and colleagues for ongoing improvements in the GIS system and associated processes.
- Manage the implementation of new technologies, data delivery systems, data integrations, and 3D modelling services with the Company.
- Provide expert advice on geospatial data integrations, automations, and data management methodologies.
- Manage up to 10 direct reports, including overseeing general HR requirements in consultation with the HR Manager and Geospatial Principal.
Requirements
Relevant Tertiary degree in Geospatial Sciences.
- Relevant experience in Geospatial roles and exposure to Geospatial project management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Must be skilled in cross-discipline integration and would be advantageous to have in-depth knowledge of Cultural Heritage.
- Must have a proven record of project coordination and delivery.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with personnel on all levels.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders to define and implement key Geospatial workflows to meet project requirements.
- Proven ability to manage complex workflows to ensure successful delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects from team members.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and track record of being solution-orientated.
- The ability to implement our GIS systems, and work with Principal (Geospatial) to develop innovative research and community engagement programs.
- Must have full Australian work rights. (Visa applications will not be supported)
- This is an office-based position located in Brisbane and cannot be remotely located.
Knowledge of remote sensing techniques including the collection and processing of Hyperspectral and GPR data is desirable but not essential.
