Role Overview:Are you a problem solver with a passion for IT? We're looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you'll provide technical support to our team of scientists, engineers, and developers. You'll have the opportunity to work with advanced technologies, including supporting AI training servers and managing a fleet of edge compute devices, as well as typical business technologies such as Microsoft 365, Cisco Meraki networking equipment, and Windows servers. Key Tasks & Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to end-users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical users.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to find creative solutions to technical issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and continuously learn new skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile to keep our systems at the cutting-edge.
- Relevant degree and 5+ years of experience in a helpdesk or technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including email, file storage, and collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with Meraki or equivalent networking equipment for network infrastructure setup and maintenance.
- Experience configuring and maintaining desktop and server hardware installations.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and supporting Windows operating systems installations and patching.
- Experience working with Active Directory, including configuring users, computers, and security groups.
- Experience with fileshare and VM backups using software like Veeam and Nakivo.
- Baseline or NV1 Security clearance level.
