Job description

The Global PR & Advocacy Manager will drive Intrepid's global PR strategy, acting as the primary internal journalist to develop impactful brand stories, campaigns, and activations, in addition elevating our brand purpose and Advocacy efforts.This role will focus on developing and executing consumer-facing global pitches, press activations and campaigns, and supporting our global impact and Advocacy work. This person will work closely with the Global PRoduct and global purpose teams to streamline our messaging globally and act as a channel between our global teams and regional PR departments.You will also work closely with our regional PR Managers to help achieve our ambitious growth goals. You'll be involved in collaborating on go-to-market press plans for major product launches, purpose initiatives and other stories, all while helping to develop stronger processes to manage the flow of information and media requests.This role will also require creative thinking around global events, cultural moments, and world news, specifically as it relates to our product and purpose. As our primary global lead on advocacy, you will need a strong understanding of environmental and social issues, specifically within the travel and tourism industry.This is a full-time permanent position based out of our HQ on Collins Street in Melbourne, Australia, with the flexibility to work some days from home.Some of the experience you'll bring with you, includes:Minimum 5 years high level experience working in a communications role, preferably in an agency with international clients or working in-house for a medium-to-large international organisationCreative storyteller with a deep understanding of the intersection of traditional PR, social media, and new mediaDemonstrated ability to lead brand Advocacy and purpose communicationsStrong understanding of sustainable travel and the positive/negative impacts of travelExperience working across multiple facets of B2C PR, developing, and implementing strategic communications plans across a variety of mediumsProven ability to secure earned media features in the world's most influential publications is an assetIn addition, you will be an expert creative storyteller with a strong command of how to compose compelling brand narratives, all while aligning with Intrepid's core values of real, impactful, ambitious and together.A bit about our people:Our team reflects the diversity of our customers and the communities we visit.
