The Job
As a Global Solution Architect, you will join the Global Practice responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of our AVEVA Production Management (formerly Ampla) solutions, whether they be direct AVEVA engagements or via our System Integrator partners. Additionally, you will use your subject matter expertise in mining and minerals processing value chains to assist regional sales teams in managing our client relationships and developing sales opportunities with new and existing clients in MMM industry. Working with clients, you will need to learn about their business and identify their needs, as the basis for communicating the value of our software solutions. In addition, working with our regional practices and partners you'll have a chance to build strong teams and drive best practices.
As a key member of the Global Practice, you will be able to provide essential feedback that will help shape the adaptation and development of the AVEVA Production Management (Ampla) product to become even more effective in meeting the industry's needs.
You will need communication skills to clarify complex situations and build rapport with engineers and high-level management in client companies around the world. You will also need a strong engineering, scientific, or operations background and the natural intellect to learn quickly on the job.
Responsibilities
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate the smooth delivery of Production Management solutions (from opportunity identification to project handover).
Identify and implement reusable components, templates, models, common libraries, and tools to accelerate project delivery.
Provide technical leadership to internal and external stakeholders, and provide collateral that demonstrates value of the offer to potential customers.
Defines and maintains Reference Architecture (IT, Solution, System) for target industry segments/verticals.
Provide guidance on 3rd party products that might be required along with AVEVA products to build a complete solution.
Provide Technical leadership to overcome challenges in delivering complex projects and building trust with the customers.
Provide enablement materials and content for Internal and external stakeholders.
Provide success consultancy to internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
You ideally have:
Educated to a minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or mining.
Analysis of technical requirements, solving detailed technical problems and providing solutions.
MES, Business Intelligence, Advanced Planning and scheduling experience in the mining industry or other bulk-materials supply chains.
Ability to communicate and present detailed technical topics to a varied audience.
Willing to learn and gain in-depth understanding of technical issues.
Creativity and tenacity in solving difficult technical problems.
Software development skills - Web Services, REST, .NET Core, C#, SQL
Excellent problem-solving skills.
The ability to manage and handle multiple commitments simultaneously with minimum supervision.
In addition, the following will be beneficial:
Experience in modelling of supply chains or other aspects of mining operations, delivery of advanced operational technology systems, mining/plant operations.
Proven strong experience of AVEVA products (Including PI, Work Task, MES) or similar technologies.
Good commercial awareness
Software development & architecture experience:
Fundamental Design principles such as SOLID, TDD. Security best practices.
Continuous integration practices.
Experience in ESB architecture using RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ.
SSRS, Autofac, Serilog, Splunk, Kafka, MassTransit
Automated Test Suites, Build Tools
As this is a global role, you occasionally may need to work outside the normal office hours, with limited opportunities for domestic and international travel through working with client projects.
