Solution Architect (Data/Mining Experience)
Location: Perth (Onsite) - (3 days at client office / 2 days WFH)
Duration: 6 months (possible extensions)
Contract Start date: Immediate
Rate: 950-1100/day inc super
Mining Domain Expertise:
Utilise extensive mining domain experience to understand and address the unique challenges and requirements of mining operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that optimize mining processes, improve efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Provide subject matter expertise on mining applications such as AMPLA, PI Historian, ESRI Spatial Data, and Snowflake to support project requirements and initiatives.
Data and Analytics Leadership:
Lead the design and implementation of data and analytics solutions tailored to the needs of mining operations.
Drive the adoption of advanced analytics techniques, including AI/ML algorithms, to derive actionable insights and drive business value.
Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance on data strategy, architecture, and technology investments.
Solution Architecture:
Architect end-to-end solutions that leverage mining applications and data analytics platforms to address complex business challenges.
Design scalable, resilient, and secure data architectures that integrate disparate data sources and enable advanced analytics capabilities.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment with architectural best practices, standards, and guidelines.
Technical Leadership:
Mentor and coach junior team members on mining domain knowledge, data analytics concepts, and Solution Architecture principles.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the mining industry, data analytics, and AI/ML domains.
Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of organizational strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience as a developer with a transition to a Solution Architect role.
Extensive experience in the mining industry with a strong understanding of mining operations and applications.
Proficiency in mining applications such as AMPLA, PI Historian, ESRI Spatial Data, and Snowflake.
Deep expertise in data analytics, including AI/ML techniques and tools.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to architect complex solutions and drive successful project outcomes.
