About the Commission
The Independent Commission Against Corruption (the Commission) is an independent statutory body established to promote integrity within South Australian public administration. The Commission investigates reports of corruption within public administration and actively prevents corruption by undertaking evaluations of the practices, policies and procedures of public agencies. The Commission also delivers education programs which seek to guide the conduct of public officers in the South Australian public sector.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Governance Officer to play a central liaison point for the Commission’s corporate governance and risk management function.
Reporting to the Manager Governance and Information, the Governance Officer engages key stakeholders to ensure the implementation of, and compliance with, corporate governance and risk management frameworks.
The ability to maintain information about corporate and technology asset inventory and conducts quarterly stocktaking is essential. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is key to success in this role.

Requirements
To be successful in the role you must possess:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail to achieve high level accuracy in data entry.
  • Sound understanding of the importance of record keeping and demonstrated ability to maintain corporate databases.
  • Understanding of the principles of sound governance and audit processes.
  • Ability to develop credible business relationships and demonstrate effective influencing ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise workload, determine priorities, manage competing deadlines and high volumes of work.
  • Willingness to revisit work to achieve quality standards.
  • Proficient computer literacy using Microsoft Office to develop high quality documents.
Special conditions
Applicants will be required to undergo psychometric profiling.

Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory security and integrity assessment.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at Negative Vetting Level 1.
