About the Position

We are seeking a motivated candidate to join our Governance team as a Governance Officer on a Part-Time Maximum Term contract until April 2025. The Roster for this position is flexible with a maximum of 30.4 hours per week.

In this role you will be required to support the Manager Governance with a broad range of Governance tasks and undertake the administrative function associated with these tasks. This is a deadline driven role so our preferred candidate will have excellent time management skills.   The role reports directly to the Manager.

Key Responsibilities The duties of the Governance Officer will include but are not limited to: Contribute to the organisation, compilation and distribution of reports for Executive, Council, committee and electors meetings. Ensure the Governance Business Unit procedures are undertaken in accordance with the legislation and Council policies and practices.

Monitor performance of Governance projects and processes. Undertake research, compile reports and prepare correspondence as a result of Council and / or Committee meetings and requests for information from elected members. About
