The Role
The Government Relations and Stakeholder Engagement ManagerWA is responsible for developing and executing Adbri’s Government Relations Strategy for the WA region.
The role requires a profound understanding of government processes, regulations and policies impacting our industry. Prior experience building relationships and advocating for positive impacts with governments, the public, other organisations and interest groups is a key requirement.
This role is based in Perth, WA.
Responsibilitiesfor the region:
- Lead the development and implementation of Government and Stakeholder Relations strategies.
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with key government officials, agencies, and Stakeholders.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the local, state and federal levels and provide guidance to the leadership team.
- Plan and execute legislative briefing and advocacy sessions, engaging with government officials and advancing Adbri's policy priorities.
- Draft and review policy positions and other advocacy materials.
- Develop and execute overarching government relations and Stakeholder management strategy.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure the alignment of government relations activity with broader company objectives.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to seek and promote government funding opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in government relations, public policy, or related field.
- Experience working with government officials and agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Demonstrated results in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically whilst balancing priorities.
- Familiarity with relevant advocacy tools and platforms, such as CRM systems, social media, and email marketing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Budget management experience
