Government and Stakeholder Relations Manager

The Role

The Government Relations and Stakeholder Engagement ManagerWA is responsible for developing and executing Adbri’s Government Relations Strategy for the WA region.

The role requires a profound understanding of government processes, regulations and policies impacting our industry. Prior experience building relationships and advocating for positive impacts with governments, the public, other organisations and interest groups is a key requirement.

This role is based in Perth, WA.

Responsibilitiesfor the region:

• Lead the development and implementation of Government and Stakeholder Relations strategies.
• Proactively build and maintain relationships with key government officials, agencies, and Stakeholders.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the local, state and federal levels and provide guidance to the leadership team.
• Plan and execute legislative briefing and advocacy sessions, engaging with government officials and advancing Adbri's policy priorities.
• Draft and review policy positions and other advocacy materials.
• Develop and execute overarching government relations and Stakeholder management strategy.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure the alignment of government relations activity with broader company objectives.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to seek and promote government funding opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5 - 10 years’ experience in government relations, public policy, or related field.
• Experience working with government officials and agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Demonstrated results in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and solve problems.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically whilst balancing priorities.
• Familiarity with relevant advocacy tools and platforms, such as CRM systems, social media, and email marketing. 
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Budget management experience
