CS Energy is seeking a dynamic Government Relations Advisor to join our esteemed Corporate Affairs team.As a key member, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Government Relations strategies and fostering productive engagement with key stakeholders to drive our organisational objectives forward. The Government Relations Advisor at CS Energy provides essential support to the Manager of Government Relations and Social Performance.Duties include the below, but are not limited to:Develop and implement government engagement strategies, and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within relevant government departments and Ministerial offices. Ensure shareholder expectations are understood and managed, and facilitate the required engagement between internal stakeholders, shareholders and government departments to gain support for business activities. Assist with GOC reporting requirements the preparation and delivery of ministerial briefing notes, letters and other correspondence. Ensure that all Government Relations activities complement, and are coherent with, broader stakeholder engagement activities, our media and external communications and our position on key policy and regulatory reform issues. About You To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience: Travel to CS Energy’s sites as required. Flexible working hours as required to meet CS Energy’s needs.Degree qualified in Government Relations, public policy, communication, public relations or relevant discipline (humanities or social sciences).Proven experience in Government Relations, strategic communication, and issues management. Understanding of government and political decision-making processes and ability to develop and maintain relationships in senior levels of government. Exceptional writing skills with a demonstrated ability to write for different audiences and mediums.Excellent conceptual and analytical skills, with a proven ability to understand a wide range of topics, identify issues and provide appropriate communication and engagement solutionsAbility to learn and understand the different aspects of the electricity industry and how they relate to the key drivers of success for CS Energy.Ability to build relationships and influence people at all levels, adapting communication and engagement style accordingly.Ability to work well under pressure, balance priorities and meet tight timeframes.About UsCS Energy is a proudly Queensland-owned and based company that provides competitively-priced and reliable energy to some of our state’s biggest industries and employers.
