About Your Opportunity
You will deliver effective government and stakeholder relations that support the delivery of Seqwater’s strategic and operational objectives. You will ensure Seqwater’s reputation as a trusted and respected service provider is maintained through open, accurate and timely communication that develops knowledgeable and engaged stakeholders and communities.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate ministerial, government and Office of the CEO correspondence, and respond to information requests from government stakeholders, government bodies and elected representatives
- Support annual preparations for Estimates Hearings, regular parliament sitting weeks and development of proactive Government Relations content
- Coordinate responses to community and stakeholder enquiries on behalf of the executive and senior leadership team Track and analyse issues raised in correspondence and enquiries to identify recurrent issues or themes and opportunities for improvement or proactive engagement
- Identify and support internal stakeholders to proactively manage reputational issues and provide Government Relations advice to enable effective issues management and external stakeholder engagement
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Essentials
- Knowledge of and experience in Government and ministerial processes including Media and the news agenda
- Minimum of three years of experience in a related role
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Unrestricted driver’s licence for a motor vehicle
Desirables
- Experience in the water sector, or a statutory authority
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in journalism, public relations, Government Relations
This position has a salary starting at $100,161 - $110,145 plus 12.75% superannuation and is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract
