Our client is a large, diverse financial services firm seeking a grad-level Talent Acquisition Associateto join their Sydney office, responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified individuals for management, executive and specialist positions
This role will be hired on an initial 9-12 month contract, although with a view-toward a perm conversion.
The ideal applicant will be a recent graduate with some HR, Talent Acquisition or Recruitment experience, ideally within Financial Markets. You should be relatively early in your career and be excited to work 5d per week in a Sydney CBD-based position.
Scope of Work:
Our client is seeking candidates to join their Recruiting Team. The successful candidate would be one that can provide consulting services to hiring managers and advises on hiring strategies and provide input into the performance management process for the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified individuals for management, executive, and specialist positions. May at times handle all levels of recruitment.
- Interfaces with management to understand their needs for specific job functions and the requirements of different business areas.
- Consults management on hiring practices, policies and procedures.
- Develops pipeline for hard to fill or high volume positions.
- Utilizes innovative recruitment strategies.
- Coordinates the use of third party recruiting organizations with Human Resources Managers and hiring managers.
- Constructs and negotiates complex offers of employment and consults with hiring managers
- Proactively maintains market knowledge, including undertaking research.
- Serves as expert resource or go to Person within a group.
The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, solid consulting skills and experienced in client servicing and relationship building.
Required Skills/Experience:
- A College or University degree and/or some relevant human resources work experience for a financial services environment is required.
- 1-4 years of relevant experience in Talent Acquisition, HR or Recruitment ideally in the financial services domain
- Technical expert with in-depth knowledge of all areas of recruitment and sourcing methodologies
- Requires good analytical ability, excellent oral and written communication skills and solid judgment.
- Solid consulting skills and experienced in client servicing and relationship building.
- Strong systems skills, particularly with recruitment systems.
This position will pay a suitable hourly rate dependent on prior experience, with the view to convert to perm based on good performance. Successful candidates will be employed as an on-site contractor via Anton Murray Consulting on-site with our client.
