Sub-Acute Inpatient And Community Therapy Service

• Provide excellent clinical assessment and therapy for patients in the sub-acute team based at the Royal Park Campus.
  • Flexible roster in our supportive and collaborative Occupational Therapy team
  • Fixed term, part time to December 2024 (20 hours/week)

• The Allied Health department provides a strong teamwork culture in both the Occupational Therapy team and multi-disciplinary group.

• The sub-acute leave cover role works across a variety of inpatient wards (geriatric evaluation and management, neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation) and community therapy services (outpatients).
• You provide high standard, evidence based and patient centred care including assessment, intervention, and discharge planning for patients in sub-acute services.
• You provide individual and group occupational therapy service to patients across various modalities including home, centre based and telehealth.
• Supervise and educate junior Occupational Therapists, allied health assistants and occupational therapy students
• Demonstrate excellent communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services, information and leadership
• Enjoy a career structure which develops specialist clinical, research, education, and leadership skills for Allied Health.

• You have hospital experience with a collaborative working style
• You have excellent communication skills and a passion for continued professional development for yourself and others.
• You are an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist dedicated to providing evidence-based practice
• You value working with supportive and dedicated Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
