The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a minimum of three years clinical experience to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary adult Allied Health and Nursing team.
The role is primarily based at our Doncaster East site and complements our existing dietetic service. Work days may be negotiated Monday to Friday, and we support opportunities for ongoing professional and personal development.
The successful dietitian will demonstrate best practice in medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education for a range of health conditions. Initiative, efficiency, and confidence to work independently are required to fulfil the role requirements.
What you will be doing
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver client centred, evidence-based nutrition education to clients via face to face and telehealth consults or group education
- Prioritise and manage a client caseload, care plans and liaison with referrers
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferencing, our Integrated Diabetes Assessment and Education Service and other relevant health program delivery
- Promote the role of nutrition in disease prevention and health management through engagement with internal working groups, projects and tertiary student placement
- Support quality improvement initiatives that enhance our service experience and delivery
What you will bring
The skills and experience you will bring to this role as the successful candidate you will have: Key Selection Criteria
- Bachelor Nutrition & Dietetics or Master of Dietetics (or equivalent)
- Current or eligible for Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an APD in a community health, hospital outpatient and/or private practice setting
- Applied clinical knowledge and experience in delivering client centred and best clinical practice in nutrition and dietetics
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as a dietitian and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary service
