Grader Operator

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Buloke Shire Council roads team as a Grader Operator for Charlton the based crew. 

In this role you will: 
• Undertake programmed and preventative grading works for the delivery of safety improvements on Council’s road network. 
• Ensure Council’s road network is maintained in accordance with the Road Management Plan 2021-25
• Ensure a high level of presentation and public safety is achieved with the maintenance of Council’s civil infrastructure.

To be successful in this position you will be: 
• Routinely inspecting and maintaining Council roads and assets, respecting quality, safety and environmental aspects. 
• Maintaining site safety and ensure supervision of constructions crews on site. 
• Safely and lawfully operating heavy plant and specialized machinery, to carry out infrastructure repairs and maintenance, shifting material for road works and civil projects. 
• Maintaining site safety on all civil infrastructure works, implementing and following all safety controls for traffic management and pedestrians’ access. 
• Completing and maintaining good record keeping and documentation. 
• Assisting with reviews and developments of risk assessments. 
• Participating in emergency responses where required.
