Graduate Accountant

We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Graduate Accountant to join our team at Multitude Plaster. This is a full-time permanent position located in Mordialloc, with a focus on commercial aspects, contracts, and financial control.

Responsibilities:

Financial Control:

• Collaborate with the Financial Controller to ensure financial processes align with organisational objectives.
• Support in managing and maintaining financial records and controls.

Data Entry and Accounts Management:

• Enter invoices, receivables, and payables accurately into the main accounting system.
• Reconcile financial transactions and ensure accuracy in all accounting entries.

Payments Processing:

• Facilitate online payments and manage the accounts payable process efficiently.

Balancing Accounts:

• Monitor and manage accounts to ensure accurate balancing of financial records.

Supplier Accounts:

• Handle accounts from suppliers, including reconciling statements and resolving discrepancies.

Adhoc Responsibilities:

• Undertake adhoc tasks that may not be specific to purchases and deliveries, as required.

Training:

• Receive training in the basics of accounting to enhance skills and contribute effectively to the team.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively within a team of two people to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Systems:

• Utilise the main accounting system for efficient data management and reporting.

Requirements:

• Recent graduate with experience with Excel and Xero. 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
